The NFL players are wearing pink to throughout the month October to help raise breast cancer awareness. NFL games will feature players, coaches and referees wearing pink Breast Cancer Awareness Merchandise and game apparel, on-field pink ribbon stencils, special game balls and pink coins – all to help raise awareness for this important campaign. All apparel worn at games by players and coaches, along with special game balls and pink coins will be auctioned off at NFL Auction, with proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society efforts to raiseawareness for early detection breast of cancer and team charities.
The NFL’s A Crucial Catch campaign has grown tremendously over the last two years, and is promoted at both the national and local level. The platform is currently supported by a number of partners from corporate sponsors to official licensees. A Crucial Catch partners include:
Barclays will partner with A Crucial Catch in several ways on the NFLExtraPoints.com website. The site will have A Crucial Catch branding and pink elements during the month of October. Additionally, card holders will be given the opportunity to redeem points to make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
The NFL, P&G and the women of the Hasselbeck family have teamed up to encourage women over 40 to get annual mammograms. Elisabeth, Sarah, Betsy and Elizabeth, in conjunction with the NFL’s A Crucial Catch and P&G’s Do Something Beautiful campaigns, have come together to advocate this important message.
PepsiCo, the NFL and Kroger are partnering to deliver a breast cancer awareness message in a very personal way – by attaching real faces and star power to the message. A group of Kroger and PepsiCo employees who are breast cancer survivors were paired with Mark Sanchez and Eli Manning and will be featured in a PepsiCo product-branded standee, product packing and in Kroger’s online community: www.sharingcourage.com. Additionally, Gatorade will provide hundreds of pink towels for use on the sidelines at games this October.
