Product Description: Pink and brown suede cords connect two sides of a broken brass chain link. The broken chain symbolizes the freedom found by survivors of human trafficking. This piece is custom designed by Freedom Stones for Stop Traffick Fashion.
The Good: Stop Traffick Fashion’s products are made by women who’ve been rescued from or are at risk of being victims of human trafficking. STF purchases products from organizations that do rescue, rehabilitation, and job skills training with survivors.
Rayou is an at-risk teen who creates ethical fashion accessories at Freedom Stones. “[Before] I was very discouraged, but now I am motivated to achieve my goals,” she says. Freedom Stones works to prevent trafficking and exploitation of at-risk teens in Cambodia by keeping them in school, employing them part-time, and teaching holistic skills to further reduce vulnerability. They also work with survivors of human trafficking in Thailand.
